If you are serious about experiencing nature, come to Ojochal, in the Osa Peninsula. There you are actually in the middle of a primary rain forest, unchanged and untouched for thousands of years, amongst species of birds, reptiles, amphibians and mammals that are to be found nowhere else on Earth! The white sand beach will win you over, forever and the peace and the well being will make you stay. The magnificent Osa is what you had been looking for; it is not without a good reason that National Geographic declared it to be the Crown Jewel of Costa Rica!
In Ojochal you will see the most adorable villas and houses to suit every tastes and budgets. Wherever you find yourself you have a view over the lush forest and the turquoise sea, admiring the resting humpback whales and dolphins from your balcony. It is off the beaten path and you need to be careful not to miss it though!
Ojochal has plenty of excellent restaurants and bars, and all the amenities you may need in the wild! There is a French Canadian restaurant, called the Exotica Restaurant, set right in the middle of the jungle that is really well worth visiting. A couple of small grocery stores, a liquor store, and a basic hardware store are there to provide you with all your necessities there in paradise! And if you like a little action, try sports fishing, hiking, sea kayaking, or horseback riding. You can take a boat trip to visit the nearby island of Cano, and a visit to Drake Bay if you are hungry for a little bit more civilization!
