There are also about eighty stands of special types of bamboo which were planted to be used in construction.
 
The private, very well maintained and picturesque gravel road goes all the way through the property connecting the entrance on the asphalted road with the river and the waterfall complex. This road is usable all year around.
 
At the little hamlet of Santa Clara, no more than five minutes away, and other places near by the property, you will find several typical restaurants, a very good bakery offering a surprising large variety of breads and pastry, several grocery stores and fruit stands as well as hardware stores. Ten minutes away is another town with more restaurants, medical clinic, pharmacies, grocery stores and bank.
 
The property is 30 minutes away from the main town in the northern part of Costa Rica: Ciudad Quesada, this is an interesting mid size mountain town where you will find all kind of restaurants, from the popular "soda", the typical Costa Rican restaurant, to steak houses, there is even a KFC and a Pizza Hut in the center of the town as well as an intense commercial activity with stores supplying everything that you may need.
